AVG internet security not recognised by VPN gateway/sof...

Since upgrading to the latest version of AVG Internet Security V.17.73032, my work VPN gateway does not recognise that I have any anti-virus installed on my computer.  BTW all updates are installed.

I cannot insert a screen shot, but the message I receive is:
Warning: You either have no anti-virus software installed, or it is disabled. You will only be provided with access to web-based applications on successful login. Please either install anti-virus software or enable it to resolve this issue. Please click the link below to continue.

Therefore, I cannot work from home at the moment.
Help urgently needed please!

Hello Jannette,

I understand the inconvenience.
Please provide the name of VPN application that you are using.
Open AVG Internet Security dashboard and provide the screenshot of it to check whether any message appears on it.
To take a screenshot please follow the instructions mentioned in this link: http://avgread.me/1aZxsAV and attach the image to this post.
You can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
Please check whether you have other third party antivirus installed on your PC.

Thanks Balasubamanian.
I deleted the Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, so I have no other anti-virus installed.  See AVG home page screen shot:

I am using the VPN: BIG-IP Edge Client Components (All Clients); F5 Networks Inc.  However, I don't think I am getting as far as the F5 Software.  The problem starts when the VPN Gateway scan my laptop to see whether current Anti-virus is installed:

You could probably get this far yourself by pasting the webgate into your browser (It won't work with Firefox): http://webgate.health.sa.gov.au  It scans your system to check for security issues, including for a current anti-virus program.

I need to work from home tomorrow, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Jannette,

I appreciate your patience and efforts so far. I would request you to disable AVG (right click AVG tray icon and toggle the On/Off slider) and check if the VPN works.

Hi.

I did what you asked.  It was definitely turned off, but the webgate still says it does not detect any anti-virus.  I then right clicked the AVG icon again and toggled it on and tried the VPN gateway, but it still doesn't recognise the AVG installation.

Jannette, From the screenshots, It is clear that there is no issue with AVG program. To confirm the same, please check the Antivirus status in Windows action center also. If AVG status is active in Windows action center, this could be a problem from the VPN service. So I request you to contact the VPN support for further assistance.

The AVG appears fine in the Windows Action Centre.
I contacted my IT department last Tuesday.  Being a Government Department I would be a low priority for them, and might not have this looked into very promptly.
However, the fact remains that I could log in when I had the old version of AVG installed, which I was using until I renewed my subscription a week ago.  Therefore, something must have changed in this new version.
Is there any way I can roll back to the previous version of AVG Internet Security in order to get my VPN access?
PS. I did try a couple of times today to log a chat session to ask whether this was possible, but it was taking forever to load and I gave up both times.
Thank you for your help so far.

Jannette,

We don't have an option to roll back to the previous AVG version. If AVG is active in Windows action center, then AVG is fully activated on your computer. You could try to uninstall and reinstall AVG and check the issue.
