Hello. I've got the same problem today. My AVG Internet Security noted this kind of threat on the 19th of July, when I reinstalled my 3G program-manager with USB. I use this USB several  User-added imageUser-added imageyears, so I allowed the threat, thought it was a wrong detection. But today AVG locked 2 threats, different files with the same IDP.ALEXA.51. Please take a look at sceenshots.User-added imageUser-added image

Please, is it already fixed? AVG Antivir business kept shutting down essential files on my virtual Windows PC all day until it stopped booting, so I I reinstalled older snapshots of the Windows 7 system, just to get the same messages again and again, until I found this page. It was pretty annoying, especially since it occured during normal business time in my cardiologic practice, with patients waiting...

Karthikeyan, thank you very much for a quick response! Good news, so there is no infection on my PC. But let me ask you, how can I solve a problem, which arised due to AVG incorrect behaviour, here are inform-screenshots. AVG locked one of system programs - Plugfree network, it's been in my Fujitsu since the beginning, I'd like to restore it from Virus Vault, but I see a message tells me "Target object already exists" and a question if I want to overwrite it. I don't understand. The locked file is staying in Virus Vault, but at the same time it already exists. Could you please explain it? I restarted a system and nothing changed. Should I restore a system on earlier point to resolve an issue?

Aravindh, I'm not Kenneth, but I followed an advice, downloaded latest update and restarted system. Unfortunately, it wasn't helpful, I still can't restore Plugfree from Virus Vault and I read the same message - Target object already exists. AVG works ok, scan results are clear. I'm from Russia, p.s.

Hi Aravindh,

I've been trying the whole morning to understand if my PC was infected or not by ipd.alexa.51 and I was quite sure it was not! Randomly, some clean .exe files were moved to quarantine, I restored them from quarantine and AVG told me that they were clean, after a while AVG silently moved them to quarantine again and so on! This behaviour started on July 20th and few hours ago I got your new update that fixed the problem! :-) Thanks Aravindh! Was it a flaw of the heuristic algorithm? Unfortunately I forgot to give it a try but do you think that switching off heuristic would help to avoid these false positives? It could be quite dangerous silently removing system files without user awareness, IMHO!

You are welcome Эл Фаренгейт.
Thank you for understanding.
Please feel free to contact us if you need any assistance.
Have a great day!

Hello Paolo,

Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
This IDP.Alexa.51 is a false positive and we got this issue escalated this month and the fix was released yesterday.
Updating the AVG program will fix this issue.
We really appreciate your efforts in following the instructions.
To make AVG not to remove any threat automatically, you can set the settings as "NOT TO REMOVE" the detected threat by going into the scan settings of AVG.
Please untick the option "NOT TO REMOVE" the threat detected and click on Apply and Ok on the scan settings of AVG so that if any threat detected, AVG will first show you the popup to get permission on action to be taken on the threat detected.
Please feel free to contact us if you need any assistance.
