Hi, I am getting a pop up pushing “Windows 7 PC Repair” using the Microsoft and AVG logos claiming to be required to speed up my PC / fix virus problems.. A search shows it to be a nasty virus which could highjack my pc and which will make me pay to have it removed. I get a number of different links to go to, 2 of which are shown below. I haven't logged on to any of them to date. Please advise how I can remove. At one point it said that McAfee Secure is on my computer. Running a full scan shows the computer to be clean.
Alan is correct in that no anti-virus software is 100% but this is the first time in AVG have missed a problem so I will be sticking with them.

No AV product is capable of providing you with 100% protection although AVG are always working 24/7.

I will read your articles but agree that no company can be 100% and AVG have always been great over the past 5 years or so I have used them on 4 computers.
