Hello Kevin,
It is to keep you informed that currently AVG Privacy Fix is available only for the Chrome browser. Please use the link http://www.avg.com/privacyfix to install the Privacy fix on your Google Chrome browser. Please feel free to contact us for further assistance.
Thank you.

Kevin, This webpage (http://www.avg.com/ww-en/home-small-office-security#all-tab) [Scroll Down - AVG PrivacyFix] actually also states Firefox add-on 5.0.0.xpi.

Hello Kevin,

Could you please try installing this Privacy fix add-on to another browser and do let us know the status of it?

I have the same problem as Kevin Horsfield and the answers (above) provide incomplete information.

I don't use Chrome, and I don't want to use it.
I am running Mozilla Firefox and the PrivacyFix add-on is unsigned.
  • Will a signed version be made available in the future? If so, can you estimate a date?
  • Can I get that signed version by way of the FireFox add-in manager at that time?

This link: (http://www.avg.com/ww-en/home-small-office-security#all-tab) mentioned by AVG Guru Alan Binch provides direct access to an option to download the add-on I require, but there is no mention on the AVG webpage that it is an unsigned copy. FireFox performs the download flawlessly (with one nudge of encouragement by the user) then FireFox interrupts advising that the add-on is unsigned and exits the installation procedure.

A user help webpage is displayed which provides instructions to developers (ie-AVG folk) to allow FireFox users to obtain the signed copy of your PrivacyFix add-on directly from Mozilla.

Here is that webpage URL:

Hello Wade,

Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
Upon escalating this to our concerned team the suggestion we got is Firefox is discontinued for AVG Privacy Fix and won't be supported.
Our team has escalated this and asked them to remove the Firefox add-on option from the website.
