AVG "overwrites" all SSL/TLS certificates from ALL sites with AVG's own certificate?!

Hello,

I downloaded AVG free edition for MacOS (Macbook Pro late "2013 with High Sierra 10.12.6).
I noticed that AVG is overruling all website certificates and "replaces" them with their own.

If I open Chrome dev tools ALL sites have AVG certificate. If I remove AVG, all sites have their own certificate again.

Though it isn't causing any problems, it did cause problems (and that's when I noticed this) when I tried to load a webpage from the xcode ios simulator. It said that it couldn't load the page because the cert was invalid (date/time in the simulator was correct).

How can I remove this absurd behaviour?

Thank you in advance!
Ralph

Hello Ralph,

Sorry for the delay.

Please disable AVG Web shield and check if you everything works normally.

Hi,

No problem.
Checked that already, but the problem still persists.
Only when AVG is removed everything works fine as normal.

See screenshots for more details.

- RalphAVG is the "issuer" on a Certificate Authority's own siteCertificate does say Comodo, but it's issued by AVG?!
