Is this for real ?? "Corrupted executable file, C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Search\Data\Applications\Windows\tmp.edb";"Reboot is required to finish the action"
Hey Alan, think I managed to fix the issue. I ran "services.msc", disabled and stopped WindowsSearch and WindowsUpdate. I was then able to delete the files "windows.edb" & "temp.edb" (from the folder in my original query). I then did a restart and Windows recreated both files but AVG scan no longer sees them as the threat "EID_pe_iscorrurpted". I don't know if the threat was real or not but, fingers crossed ... ... Thanks for your time, Alan, regards... Paul PS got the idea from the bitdefender forum dealing with a similar issue
