We're using AVG Cloudcare and want to know: 1. Is there a way to backup the settings applied such as: Advanced Settings, Scan - Whole Computer Scan (check off everything), Specific Files/Folders, Removable, Shell etc... and scan schedules... so I don't have to manually program each one of these one at a time?
2. Which services/processes are vital and which should we be watching for in our RMM tool - like if the AVG tool were disabled - what needs to be active and running 24/7 that we can create an alert to let our team know?
3. Which processes/services should be allowed through the firewall to enable updating etc...?
1. AVG Cloudcare stores all of the settings in the cloud. Settings cannot be applied locally, if they are they will exist only temporarily as the cloud servers will overwrite any changes. Policies can be viewed and edited under the section "policies" available from the customer dashboard, you can copy and change indiviual policies and can move devices from one policy group to another just by dragging and dropping. There is an overview of Cloudcare policies available on this YouTube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ug7BIDpO1QI
2. If you are monitoring using an RMM tool you should watch avgrsa.exe, avgwdsvc.exe, avgidsagent.exe, and avgnsa.exe. Cloudcare will write to the windows event logs so you can also monitor for cloudcare alerts here. Event ID's 257-274,289-290,293-294,314
Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.
