Error message re avgidsagent.exe (AVG AntiVirus Free)

Hi everyone,

I'm running AVG AntiVirus Free, Version 2015.0.6125, on my Windows 7 PC.
Since I updated to this version, I frequently (three to five times daily) get this error message (in German, since I live in Germany):
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unbekannter Fehler in folgender(n) AVG-Komponente(n):
- avgidsagent.exe
Möchten Sie einen Fehlerbericht an AVG senden?

/ Ja /  / Nein /
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Which translates as: "Unknown error in the following AVG component(s): - avgidsagent.exe
Would you like to send an error report to AVG? Yes - No"

Any suggestions how I can fix this?

Hi Peter, I will help you with the issue, please hold windows logo key and R .  In the RUN window type Services.MSC and the services window will open, in that please check for process avgidsagent.exe and then right click it and check if it is running, If it is in stop state then Start the process, if it gives any error message when you start it, then please send us screenshot of the error message.  Thank you

It was running when I checked - but I must say ... the problem seems to have gone away without my interference. After three days with frequent error messages, there was none today.
However, if it should come up again, now I know what to do. Thanks again.
