I used AVG for one year. In this time AVG has changed my Windows-Task-Manager to AVG-Task-Manager. Now I use another antivirus and cannot change to my old Windows-Task-Manager. AVG is uninstalled. I only have AVG 1-Klick on my computer and cannot open any option window anymore. Anybody can help? Thanks
For detail: when I enter “Strg”+”Alt”+”Canc” and click on “Task-Manager” I get a Window from “AVG Performance” telling me, that my support is expired. On this Window I have only the possibility to restore AVG or to use “1-Click-Service”
Could you please take a screenshot of the task manager and send it here, so that we can understand it and assist you better? Did you purchase the subscription for AVG performance or were using the trial version of AVG PC tuneup? To take a screenshot please follow the instructions mentioned in this link: http://avgread.me/1073t3Z .
Juppen, For your info, just in case that you are unaware, you can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions. AVG Guru
Hello AVG Alan and Balasubramanian, thanks for responding. When I want to open the Task-Manager I see this screen. I’ve bought Tune-Up time ago together with another anti-virus-program. Later I’ve bought AVG for one year. Installing AVG I was asked whether I want to change to AVG-Task-Manager and I confirmed. After one year I uninstalled AVG and now I neither can start the Windows-Task-Manager nor the AVG-Task-Manager. Thanks for helping, JX
You are welcome, Juppen. Upon viewing your screenshot, it seems that it is the normal AVG performance popup and it saying that it is expired. Your AVG Ultimate subscription already got expired on 25/1/2016 and that is the reason you are getting this notices. We request you to use our AVG remover tool to completely remove all the traces of AVG program. 1) To download the AVG remover tool please click on this link: http://aa-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe 2) Run the downloaded tool and follow the instructions displayed on your screen.
3) Your computer will be restarted automatically. After the restart, AVG Remover will finish the uninstallation. NOTE: Once the AVG Remover Tool has done with its process. Please go to the C drive and look for a folder named as "AVG Remover" and I request you to delete it manually.
Also are you sure that you don't get the Windows Task Manager opened up? Please press Ctrl and Shift and Esc keys together and see whether you get the task manager window opened up.
I have one open question with AVG-Remover. By using AVG-Remover, i “agree to AVG’s End User License Agreement” (see first screenshot). Well, on the following screen, AVG-Remover mi shows only Tune-Up to select (see second screenshot). But I’ve bought Tune-Up separately (and not together with AVG-antivirus). And I use 1-Klick-Mantenance until now, so I don’t want to uninstall it. Do you have some idea? Thanks, J.
If you run our AVG remover tool it will scan for the AVG programs that is installed on your PC and it will list out the programs that is installed. From that list you can choose the AVG programs that you wish to uninstall. It won't remove all the AVG programs, only if you select the programs it will proceed for the removal. So you mean that when you try to open the task manager you get blue screen?
Hello Balasubramanian, I’ve clicked the Tune-Up-option so the Remover starts. Now I can open the Task-Manager again. But my 1-click-mantanance is gone. Doesn’t matter, I’ve found another tool. Thank you very much for helping me!! And have a nice evening, J. ;-)
PS: Blue screen because I use Windows 10. Try Ctrl+Alt+Del and you get this “Blue screen” with a small menue :-)
Hello Juppen, Glad to hear that your issue resolved now. We see that you were subscribed to AVG Ultimate. Did you re install AVG Performance again after uninstalling it?
Hello Avinash, I don’t find my copy of AVG Performance (it was a download), so I cannot install it again. But doesn’t matter, I’m satisfied with my new product and the copy was just an old version ;-) Thanks for helping and I wish you a nice day!! J.
