PhoneSlips / AVG Error

My computer stays on 24/7 because it's the server, but I close all individual programs at the end of each business day.  Recently, when I try to re-open PhoneSlips (our scheduling and messaging software), I get a message saying "Unable to connect to Switchboard server (SALLY-PC), error:  000000E7."  If I simply press [Enter], PhoneSlips does open and seems to perform normally.  I called PhoneSlips and was told this is probably a glitch stemming from an antivirus software (AVG) update since it is not their error number.  They suggested I contact AVG.  Any advice on how I can eliminate this error message so it doesn't keep popping up each morning?

Hello Sally,
We apologize for the inconvenience.
To check if this error is caused by AVG program, we suggest you to disable AVG temporarily and see if the issue gets fixed. http://avgclick.me/TempDisableAVG. If the issue persists, this issue is not caused by AVG.
Thank you.

We did try temporarily disabling AVG while on the line with PhoneSlips tech support.  No error message when re-opening PhoneSlips with AVG disabled, which is what led the PhoneSlips tech to suggest the problem may stem from a recent AVG update since it only began weeks ago.  Is there any way to correct it, or must we hope that a future AVG update "reverses" whatever is wrong?

Hello Sally,
We apologize for the inconvenience.
Please do not worry, this updates will be overridden by the new updates soon. However, if you wish, you can remove the old updates from AVG and reupdate the product. Please open AVG Program click on Options->Advanced Settings->Updates->Manage->Delete Temporary updates. Once the updates were deleted, please run the updates again and see if that fix the issue.
Thank you

Yesterday, I did as you suggested and deleted the temporary updates.  When I opened PhoneSlips this morning, I did not get the error message, so at least for the time being, this seems to have corrected the problem.  Thank you!
