How do I speed up internet traffic through my VPN? To be more clear, I have benchmarked my connection speeds with my VPN and without. With my VPN my download connection speed tests at an average speed of 50 mb/s. Without my VPN, my download connection speed tests at an average speed of 400 mb/s. My internet provider's package is for a max connection speed of 500 mb/s. Obviously I would like to stay as close to that 500 mb/s while maintaining the security of a VPN. How can I do that?
You may experience a slower internet connection when using AVG Secure VPN. This is because a VPN encrypts traffic and data before sending it to a server. Depending on the distance and capacity of the server, this process may cause a slightly slower, but safer, internet connection.
