Update Free AVG

I am having a problem with updating the free version of AVG.  It won't let the update finish.  I've restarted my computer numerous times, & it still won't update.  I can't even get the AVG to do a scan of my computer.  I tried to uninstall it thinking if I reinstalled, it would fix whatever problem there is.  However, it won't even allow me to uninstall it.  Very frustrating!

Denise, Try removing any AVG by downloading & using the 32 or 64bit 2015 Remover (http://www.avg.com/ww-en/utilities) [Scroll Down], whichever suits your system. If you're not sure about 32 or 64 bit on your system have a look @ this link (http://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/827218). Then download & install the AVG product you're using (http://avgclick.me/downloadAVG). You'll see AVG AntiVirus Free listed.
