Chrome won't load after AVG update

Last night AVG had me do a restart to complete an update. Since that restart, Google Chrome will not launch under my primary (Admin) profile, but it still works if I log on as a different user.
Disabling AVG components or temporarily disabling AVG completely had no effect.
Thunderbird works fine.

So because AVG updated, I have to throw away all of my saved browser settings, all of my automatic passwords, all of my bookmarks... To see if maybe that will fix whatever AVG did?

OK, I solved the problem.
As an aside, I found that Chrome stores settings, bookmarks, etc. in the cloud, so they follow your login, not you locally installed program.
So, knowing that, I went to uninstall, but the MS Uninstall program kept telling me to close all of my Chrome windows and try again.
Looking in Task Manager, I found a Chrome file active under the Processes tab.
I selected that Process and clicked on "End Process."
Chrome now works.
Didn't uninstall or reinstall, just closed the stuck Process.
Apparently Chrome had not finished shutting down after I closed it before letting AVG do the restart, and this corrupted the Process that was running.
When I opened Chrome, it said it had not been shut down properly and offered to restor back to where I was when I closed it last night.
What a hassle this has been over something with a really simple fix.

Thanks Jeff. Ending the process fixed my computer issues up too.
