D Gee Chrome redirect virus
Hello,
I have AVG Internet Security 2014. I use Chrome Version 41.0.2272.101 m (64-bit), and my OS is Windows 7 Pro. I recently started getting popup tabs when using Chrome asking me to download ilivid, and other popup tabs are appearing. ilivid doesn't appear in my installed programs or Chrome extensions; my most recently installed extensions are Cisco WebEx, Ebates, Feedly mini, Pinterest PinIt button and TwitShot for Chrome. I also recently downloaded a free Audible audiobook and installed the Audible download manager, and Spotify and Java updated, but I haven't downloaded anything odd lately. Other than that no ilivid processes or files show up when I search the registry or task manager or programs or extensions. AVG didn't detect anything. Hitman Pro did detect something and deleted it but I am still getting suspicious redirect tab activity on Chrome, and my password keeps getting reset.

No AV product is capable of providing you with 100% protection although AVG are always working 24/7.

AVG would recommend to start with uninstalling all unknown/unused programs and browser addons.

I just spent more than an hour with an AVG Support rep who logged on to my computer. I am still having the tab url redirect problem with both Firefox and Chrome. They are not popups. I will type a url to a (secure) site i normally use, like my american express account, and the secure url will appear and then change to something different, not the official url, and usually the word redirect is in the url. I spoke to my bank today and they confirmed that is not their url and not to use it; this is happening with numerous secure sites on the login page. I have reset the browsers over and over, uninstalled and reinstalled chrome, still have this problem. I have seen the ilivid virus mentioned one many forums. I thought I had gotten rid of it but now just have this browser url security problem, and I was advised by my bank not to login to any of the sites where the redirect is in the url.
After an hour of unsuccessful scanning, the AVG support person in the chat told me it was probably my ISP causing it and to contact them. I am very frustrated, have spent 3 days trying to fix this. I think I still have malware, and AVG can't detect or fix it. I reset some pw on my phone browser but may have this p[roblem there too. Any ideas?
