Hello Nathanael,
Thank you for contacting us with your concerns. Do you mean you would like to add an application to AVG Firewall's exception? If so, it is not an option in the 2017 version. But you can add a file or folder to AVG's exception to exclude it from scanning as described in this article https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en&urlName=How-to-make-exclusions-from-all-scans-and-shields&q=exclude .
Feel free to let us know if you require any further assistance.

Hmm.. Thank you for your response, I won't use AVG Firewall for time being since I cannot configure it to my needs (Windows Firewall even provide greater flexibility over firewall rule). I hope AVG Firewall rule will be available in the next few updates.

I have been using AVG since 2009, never had any problems. With the last update however AVG firewall blocks my network shared folders, printer share and most importantly the software I need to run for my work(an accounting software) on my client computers.
A problem I cannot seem to fix, since you removed the Firewall Application Rule. Why on earth would you remove the advanced settings and mess things up like that?

If I do not fix this in the next few days, I will ask for a refund. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for all your answer support team, I accidently found that I can review blocked application and when I click the review from pop up messages, I found that I now access the Firewall application rule page. Hopefully you can improve it's accebility from menu, not only pop up.. Once again thank you and please consider this thread closed.

You are most welcome, Nathanael.
We appreciate your efforts in finding the AVG Firewall application rule window.
Actually, the option will be available on the advanced settings of Firewall, please have a look at this article: http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-block-or-allow-IP-addresses-in-Firewall .
Please feel free to contact us if you need any assistance.

The AVG rules keep disappearing in windows 10 so it's a problem. I have a feeling this is why AVG originally removed it on the new version and only put it back when customers demanded it.

Hello Aloua,

I appreciate your patience in this matter.
It is necessary for us to analyze AVG log files to check what is causing the issue.
An email instruction has been sent on how to collect and send us the log files.
If the email is not found in inbox do check in spam and junk folders.
Please send us the (screenshot) of AVG settings windows where it doesn't show "Application Rule" option under "Firewall" component.
You can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
