This is False = AVG > Menu > Settings > Components = Why?

I have placed this under "General discussion" simply because I am not sure if it should go under another category and if I have erred I apologise.

I have just concluded about two hours of research and the bottom line is that I find no update of your help articles that inform us that this has changed:

Okay! then you can disable the Software Analyzer component from AVG > Menu > Settings > Components. If the issue persists, after disabling the Analyzer component, uninstall AVG from the control panel and reinstall (https://www.avg.com/en-us/download)AVG to fix the issue.

<=> <=> <=> Copy Ends <=> <=> <=>

I see a page that has the year listed as 2019:
https://help.avg.com/en/avg_free/17/settings_sh_idp_main.html
And there is nothing on that page which informs us that we can only access "Components" by going through the "Open old settings".

Frankly, something makes me feel very uncomfortable about all this and if that uncomfortable feeling can be removed by somebody explaining to me what's going on I would be very appreciative.

I really do not want to have to advise a number of people that maybe we can no longer trust this company and then go find a replacement for the product we are presently using.

And the following shows when I look in appropriate location about my application:

Your application is up to date

Thank you for your attention.

Hi Michael,

This isn't the experience we want you to have. We'd like to clarify this for you.
The steps provided by our colleague in a different thread is for the older version of AVG (18.8).
In the latest version (19.8), it has changed. In order to manage the components, you can either open Old settings (as you mentioned) or throuth the gear icon at top right in each tile of AVG interface's homepage.
If you require any further assistanc regarding the issue that you've experienced, let us know. We're more than glad to help you.
However, we appreciate your valuable time in notifying this to us. You can also notify this to the concern team from your end by : Opening AVG - Menu - About - Submit feedback.
Thank you for your understanding in advance!

Firstly, thank you Dinesh Krishnan for properly fixing the topic title for me.  My screen grab showed that I had used some incorrect formatting and it looked awful.

Secondly, I do not know for sure what my status is at prsent and cannot post an answer to you until I am clear about my status.

I mean, I have screen grabs of two posts I thought I just did in two other threads and I even added a second post in the first thread where I did some work and apologized for thinking I would be blocked and after I did the third post in a second thread I saw that I was indeed in a situation where my posts were pending and that means I am either under suspicion or that all posts are screened.

Do you happen to know which is the case?

Until I understand that I will hold up on answering you, because if it is that an employee doesn't like my answer I have to take the message of that to another realm where I will have a bigger impact.

I do not use profanity and I am not disrespectfull.  I post facts in an environment that is not calling for fiction and so an employee blocking non-fiction is a serious concern.

Can you answer my question above, Dinesh Krishnan?

Hi Michael,

My name is Balasubramanian and I will answer your concerns as Mr. Dinesh Krishnan is not available currently.
I have replied to your other post: https://support.avg.com/answers?id=9060N000000UDiI which I was able to locate it.
I am afraid that I couldn't find the post in which you shared a screenshot.
It would be better, if you post the screenshot on this thread and avoid multiple posts as it would increase our response time.
You can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
Thank you.
