Can't delete downloader virus

For about the last week or so, when I start my pc, AVG informs me that I am infected with the downloader virus, I then select the option to delete all, but each time I restart my computer it's back. How can I delete it permanently?

I understand how something like this can really try your patience. I request you to update your AVG on regular basis and then run whole system scan in your pc and check for virus. And if you still have the same issue please provide us the screenshot http://avgread.me/1aZxsAV of the pop up you receive, so that we are happy to assist you better.

AVG is completely up to date, and a full scan detects nothing

One of your technicians spent over an hour clearing out my old installation of AVG, and installed a new version.

I ran a full scan and nothing was found.

However on start up I still get a warning message, I let AVG do it's thing twice now but I've restarted twice and still get a warning message.
