Vprot.exe error

Hello guys, in the past few weeks I've been getting a "Vprot.exe " error Message every time I start my PC.
Your website suggests to uninstall Web TuneUp, but when I try to, I get a window with a yellow bar saying "uninstalling, making sure not to leave anything behind", and nothing happens. This window is always-on-top, so I cannot let it work in the background while I do something else, as it stays in front of any thing else I might open. If i try to reinstall / repair AVG, the installer tells me that the program is already present on my computer and the setup will be closed.
Please help, I've been running in circles with this for a while and nothing I've tried works.

We understand your situation. We request you to run AVG remover tool to remove AVG Web TuneUp from your pc. To run AVG remover tool for AVG WebTuneUpplease follow the below steps :
Please click on the below link to download remover tool
http://aa-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe
Accept the license agreement and then choose AVG Web TuneUp and remove it.
NOTE: Once the AVG Remover Tool has done with its process. Please go to the drive where you installed this tool and look for a folder named as "AVG Remover" and I request you to delete it manually.

I got screenshots of both the uninstall dialog (the yellow bar slides and the window cannot be minimised or moved around, only solution is to reboot the system) and the error message.

Ah, sorry, I have AVG free 2015

And Web TuneUp, apparently, as I cannot remove it.
