AVG Internet Security Firewall always disabled on startup

Hello

Could someone please advise why the firewall is always disabled on startup and how to resolve this issue.  I click fix now and then it is enabled.  AVG is set to update whenever updates are available and it is set to scan on a daily basis.

Thank you.

AVG is already installed on my computer. There is an AVG folder in the programs menu [from start button], there is a short-cut on my desktop, I watch it update on a daily basis, it scans on a daily basis and scans all emails as they arrive.  I downloaded the file from AVG's website and inserted the licence number and according to the software all components are installed.

Hello E W,

Thank you for the information. So you still don't have AVG on your Programs and Features list, am I right?
E WE W
That is correct.

Further update.  I have performed a system restore to a date last week when AVG was working properly.  Problem persisted.  I have removed AVG using the AVG removal tool and reinstalled it.  Problem still persists.  When I start up my computer AVG loads but internet connectivity is disabled, there is an exclamation mark in AVG icon in the start up menu and when I open the AVG program, it tells me that the firewall has stopped and needs fixing.  I click on fix, the user account control box shows up asking for permission, I click OK, internet connectivity is restored and the firewall starts.

I downloaded the AVG SysInfo tool and sent the log on Fri 29 Jan as requested. To date I have not received a response. Fortunately I have resolved the issue myself. AVG get nil from me on their after sales support.
