I have been a long-time user of AVG PC Tune-up on two computers, a desktop and a laptop. Some time ago, the application disappeared from my desktop. I have no idea why. My license does not expire until August 27, 2018. I have downloaded the installation file and followed instructions. I get as far as a screen that says "Thank-you for installing PC Tune-up," but no installation has taken place. I am not asked for a license number. The application for which I paid is not on my computer. Is there a fix - before I go to someone else's product?
Thank you for the response. The AVG removal tool appeared to work, but in fact did not. Reinstallation efforts reached the same results; although, this time I was asked for my license number, which I provided. The result was a PC TuneUp shortcut that leads to a screen with a spinning circle in the middle. AVG offers a discounted TuneUP. Why should I take that risk when the AVG product I have paid for is not working?

Balasubramanian must be smoking some bad stuff. The remedy provided by AVG simply did not work. I spent all day Saturday working on an AVG performance failure problem that shouild not have occurred. I have not located the latest email referred to, but will look for it to see i9f it makes any more sense than the last failed suggestion. AVG offers to charge me $20 to straighten out a problem built into the company's software. That is a non-starter. I have a month left on a license that has been non functional for several months. My solution for the coming years will involve a different provider.
