I can delete all but 1 quarantined item via the AVG desktop interface.

How can I determine what to delete in the actual AVG vault to get rid of it?

I already know how to use the quarantine function, but as I said it doesn't delete this one file. I am looking for a fix or an alternate way to delete it.

Why didn't this forum allow the pictures to show in the original post?

We apologize for the inconvenience caused, Don.

You can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on Answer & then click on the Image [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
However, we'd recommend that you post the screenshot in the format of 'Jpg/Png'.
Regarding your initial concern, could you check & mention the original location of the detected file?
Also, what exactly happens when you try to delete the detected "Setup.exe" file from the quarantine folder?
Awaiting your response.

Thanks. The original file location was C:\Users\Don Cheke\AppData\Local\Temp, but AVG had moved it to quarantine, so it is no longer in the AppData file mentioned above.

When I try to delete from the AVG desktop I can select the file name and it pops up a dialog asking if I want to permanently delete Setup.exe. I click yes, delete, but the file name persist to show in the AVG quarantine desktop app. I know I am doing this correctly as I have deleted other files before without issue.

The file that is refered to is almost certainly from a download of a CAD program I beta test. The actual files would have been deleted previously so maybe AVG just can't locate it to actually delete it. I am wondering if we might have to look at just clearing the AVG quarantine list somehow? Is that possible?

I have tried everything suggested and the problem persists. As I said before the file doesn't exist, Even if I try to restore it it can't be done.

I deleted everything from the actual AVG vault file, rebooted the computer and the vault db restores itself, but the problem still persists.

Do I need to go into the windows registry and delete something in there under the avg software. If so, what is the registry location for it on windows 10?
