AVG Internet Security problems

Not even 24 hours since I downloaded the free 60 day trial period ... The Shields are turned OFF and the system will not let me turn them on.  When I go to SUPPORT,  the reply on their page says, 'they are in a period upgrading Customer Support to make it better', so no help there.  Should I UNINSTALL and then REINSTALL AVG?  This experience is frustrating and disappointing.

We are really sorry to know that you are facing issues with AVG shields are turned off and unable to turn ON and unable to connect our support. We feel how frustrated you are and please apologies for the inconvenience caused. We'll certainly check and help you out.

In this regard, we suggest you to repair AVG Internet Security and check with the issue. 

To repair the AVG Internet Security app, just follow these steps:

Click on Windows+ R and Search for appwiz.cpl
Locate AVG Internet Security and click on it 
Click on Change
When the AVG Setup wizard appears, click on the Repair option
Restart your device - don’t miss this step!

If you are still facing any issue, please reinstall AVG Internet Security application and let us know the status.
