Blovking Thunderbird emails

As of this morning AVG is blocking all incoming and outgoing emails from Thunderbird. Disabling email shield does not work, only disabling AVG entirely.

3. Have you tried to update AVG Internet Security and check the status?

Windows 10. Not getting any block messages from AVG. I have just updated AVG to the latest update available to me and it has made no differnce. No emails receiving or sending with AVG enabled, works fine with AVG totally disabled.

AVG Internet Security monitor your incoming emails and prevent you from receiving infected emails, or emails with malicious attachments. Email protection is provided by different AVG features according your email client:

If you use an email client, such as Microsoft Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird, Email Shield automatically scans your emails.

Unfortunately typing "geek area" produces no results for me, so I ccannot go to the next step. I have already said that turning off email shield makes no difference, only disabling AVG completely allows emails to be received and sent.
