How can I install AVG on my old (but still in use) Win XP system which has no support for email? It is connected to my other PC's in my home network and has access to Internet. It seems to me that I mustg be able to receive smtp with install/activation information on the PC or have I misunderstood something?.
Sven, you can find answer to your question together with your another post here https://support.avg.com/answers?id=906b0000000Dy3g Please try to keep the whole conversation in one question/thread to speed up the resolution.
My two questions are completely unrelated! This question is just about how (if possible) to install AVG unlimited on my old XP which is: Windows XP Home Edition, version 2002 with Service Pack 3 The computger has Intel Pentium 4 mobile CPU 1,80GHz 1,18 GHZ, 1,00 GB of RAM
When I tried to install AVG on this XP PC (after I had installed AVG on my two Windows 10 PC's) I got the impression that I needed to receive an email on my XP machine as well? This is awkward, I have no emailsupport insgtalled on the XP.4
Sven, I certainly understand your concern. Please be informed that you no need to install AVG in Windows XP by sending an email. You can just start installing https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?&urlName=Download-and-install-AVG-Protection AVG Internet Security Unlimited directly and activate it with your Myaccount credentials. Once the program gets activated it is automatically shown in the admin computer and from Zen interface, you can manage your devices.
