I was using Avg Free. I tried to do as described. When I tried to install AVG_Protection_Free_1025.exe, it did not work. It gave the same error message complaining about missing dlls (I did not write down what the installer complained about, but these were the ones avgui.exe and avguix.exe complained abou: *msvcr110.dll", "msvcp110dll")

Hi, I have just upgraded windows 8.1 to windows 10 and I'm getting this message: "avguix.exe - Application error - was unable to start correctly".

Hi, I faced the exact same problem. I upgraded my Windows from 8.2 to 10. Then, my AVG is not working anymore during startup.

I have tried the following methods:
1. AVG Remover tool and install agin
2. Downloaded 2015 Visual C++ Redistributable
3. AVG_BFEfix.exe

All not working. When I tried to uninstall & reinstall, it showed "0xC0070643 Description: Event exec finished error message".

Need your help on this. Thanks.

Hey AVG,
Seems I have the same issue as these other folks here. I have removed and reinstalled same as everyone, used the removal tool and getting the same error message and code "0xC0070643" when attempting to reinstall AVG.

Also it seems like when I have uninstalled AVG and used the removal tool I keep getting a System Error message pop-up saying; The program can't start because MSVCR110.dll is missing from your computer. Seems strange that avguix.exe is there when all is AVG is uninstalled and removed from the computer..?

Can I also get an e-mail like the others since you seem unwilling to post a solve in this thread?

I am facing the same problems as the above users, and have followed the exact same steps. I too still end up getting the error "0xC0070643" when I attempt to reinstall AVG.

I also get the error message from avgui.exe saying the program won't start because MSVCR110.dll is missing from my computer, even though I followed the steps to install the Visual C++ Redistributable. I thought the AVG removal program was supposed to remove everything?

Would love to get some additional help on this problem.

Hi all!
Maybe I have the answer to your problems? I struggled with the same for some time after one Microsoft update ... ;-) and after several contacts with the Microsoft support I finally succeded. In additioin i'ts not a AVG problem - I think - it's Microsoft 10 updates - that does :-).
I did as follows:
As I have a x64 bits processor I have
1. updated thex64 Visual C++ Redistributable for 2012
but as that did not help
2. I also installed the x86 Visual C++ Redistributable for 2012 (which I think should not be necessary as the x64 one should cope with the x32 bits)
3. I removed the x64 bits Visual C++ 2010 and installed corresponding Redistributable for 2010
4. I removed the x86 Visual C++ 2010 and installed corresponding Redistributable for 2010 (which I still think should not be necessary ...
5. I uninstalled Microsofts Essential 2012 (MoveMaker included) - in my case this software had the same problem as the AVG software - so you should - and I did also uninstall and install AVG again.
6. and installed it again
7. Rebooted the laptop

Keep your fingers crossed - and it will work again!
Am I right?

Hello,
I seem to be having the same issue as all of these others. I started receiving the missing dlls for the avgguix.exe pop-ups. I tried uninstalling and using the remover tool and starting fresh. I have also installed all of the available MS Visual C++ Redistributable updates. I have restarted several times and am still reviving the error code 0xC0070643 Description: Event exec finished after trying to reinstall. Please help.

Hello,

Same issue occurs on my laptop since a few days. Probably has to do something with the recent Windows10 update I did. Before that I didn't have this problem.

In short:
- I also have the avgui.exe error message when starting up my laptop
- I also have the error code 0xC0070643 (or similar codes) when uninstalling, re-installing, installing or repairing AVG

Looking forward to a reply and a solution.

Regards

I'm having the same issue with my AVG Tuneup. I tried:

1) First step is to use AVG Remover tool and uninstall your AVG program completely:http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/support/avg_remover_stf_x64_2015_5501.exe
2) Run the downloaded tool and follow the instructions displayed on your screen.
3) Your computer will be restarted automatically. After the restart, AVG Remover will finish the uninstallation.

Please download Visual C++ Redistributable  using this link http://bit.ly/UolpEg
This will solve the missing dll files issue, please try  to reinstall AVG after this and check if it works.

and i still get the same error msvcr110.dll missing

Thank you for trying out the suggestion on this thread. Could you let us know whether it is a free or paid version of AVG are you using? Also, is it a home edition or enterprise edition of Windows OS you are referring to?

I've had this error for a while, but ignored it.  avguix.exe - System Error.
MSVCP110.dll is missing.
Tried
1) removed AVG from Control Panel
2) Installed AVG Removal tool.  Sometimes this fails with a network error. Restarted computer
3) Removed AVG Removal Folder
4) Updated Visual C++ Redistributable
5) Downloaded latest AVG Antivirus x64v693

Can I get that email?  Thanks.

Hi peeps. I had an issue with AVG where the tray icon dissapeared and the support guy did is best and got it working fine but afterwards i kept getting the 'System Error Avguix.exe .....' I found this post and followed the uninstall and it still remained even though i did this twice and nearly gave up.
I did a random check on my C:\ drive to see if the remover was getting rid of all files and I found the problem straight away and fixed it.
AVGuix.exe was still there but located here... C:\Users\YOURNAMEHERE\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup In win 10 you have to be able to see hidden files to see this but please just check and see.

Regards

Matt

Thank you for getting back to me, the link provided was for the removal tool, there is nothing relating to SysInfo.  I ran the removal tool once more, the following was presented to me "AVG Remover did not find any active AVG products within your system."  I selected "Run anyway" and restarted my computer.  Should I have expected some form of output after restarting?

"avgui.exe - System Error" SOLVED

avgui.exe - System Error
The program can't start because avgsysa.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

I also ignored this error message when starting my computer for many months
Last month, I tried AVG uninstall/reinstall without success

I renamed "C:\Program Files (x86)\AVG\Av\avgui.exe" from 4/11/2017 and the problem is SOLVED!
I believe this was a leftover file from a previous version of AVG

"C:\Program Files (x86)\AVG\Antivirus\AVGUI.exe" from 9/4/2017 is the current version

Thanks Matthew Dady August 21, 2016 for a suggestion of what to try...
