Reinstalling Internet Security 2014

I upgraded my Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. I uninstalled my just renw
ewed AVG Internet Security 2014 to do that. I used my AVG Liscense # to reinstall and AVG would not recognize the renewed liscense. Somehow l installed Internet Security 2915 - the free 30 day version. l don't want to purchase it since l renewed 2014. How do l uninstall 2015 and reinstall my 2014 when it would not recognize my 2014 license which l did confirm with AVG Support.
Also when my Windows 10 updates it also updates Windows Defender and turns it on. It seems to  operate along  with AVG simultaneously. I didn't think that was possible.
Best wishes. MS

Hello Martin, I apologize for the inconvenience you experienced in this case. Please be informed that 2014 license is compatible with AVG 2015 version. I request you to please completely uninstall your AVG product using AVG remover tool and reinstall it. To download AVG remover tool please have a look at this article http://avgread.me/1DEtNP0 . To download  AVG Internet Security please refer the article http://avgread.me/1czW57x . I also understand that you have installed the Windows Defender antivirus program. It is possible to run two different antivirus programs on the same Operating System, However it always cause conflicts between both the programs and it would make use of most of your system resources that obviously slow down your PC. I would recommend you to uninstall Windows Defender and use only AVG antivirus program on your PC. Please feel free to get back to us for any issues with AVG. Thank you.

The reinstallation went smoothly this time. Thankyou very much. I logged into AVG Community and found my history of AVG products and activated that instead. My son advised me to always let the "community" know how things went, so l have and wish you all a great day!
